Scorpio Broadcast was formed in December 2003 to enable Kevin Orwin continue his role as a Technical Project Manager in a freelance capacity. Up to that point Kevin had worked with a number of well-known and respected UK OB and fly-pack providers and it seemed a natural extension to take his wealth of experience and knowledge into the freelance domain.

Since 2003 Scorpio Broadcast has planned and managed numerous large scale events around the globe. Whilst specializing in athletics (Grand Slam Track, Indoor & Outdoor World Championships, Commonwealth Games, Diamond League) the company has also taken an involvement in Summer and Winter Olympics as well as projects in the UK

As part of the Technical Production team for NBC at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics Kevin was proud to receive two Sports Emmy Awards – the first for Outstanding Technical Event and the second for Outstanding Technical Team Studio

With experience of seeing events from the initial RFP stage through to completion, Scorpio Broadcast have the knowledge and expertise to assist on all aspects of a project from concept to implementation
